post-graduate training in cmt

This 9-month training program is designed for mental health professionals who have completed all of the requirements for their professional degree and now wish to deepen their understanding of psychotherapy.  Classes begin in November and are held in the SFPRG conference room on Tuesdays from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  The first half of each class is didactic with recommended readings on case formulation and psychotherapy process.  The second half of the class is a case conference in which participants will have the opportunity to present their psychotherapy cases, to develop a plan formulation for the case, and to learn how to use the formulation to optimize therapy for their particular patient.

This program is designed for clinicians and educators with varying levels of experience.  Early and mid-career psychotherapists will enhance their skills in case formulation and understanding of therapeutic processes, while mid- and late-career therapists can use this program to sharpen their clinical, teaching and supervisory skills.
