WW II: Army of the United States: June 1943 - March 1946 European Theter of Operations: Sept 1944 - March 1946 P.F.C. in 334th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division Participated in combat near Geilenkirchen, Germany; served later in non-combat units, including Army of Occupation (Germany) 1945 - 1946.

Postwar Education: University of California, Los Angeles 1946 - 1948: B.A. in Psychology cum laude, 1948; Phi Beta Kappa

University of California, Berkeley 1948 - 1953; Ph.D. in Psychology 1953

National Institute of Mental Health: Member, Special Grants Review Committee 1962 - 1964

Academic Positions: Clinical Professor of Psychiatry (now emeritus) University of California, San Francisco Member and Teacher, San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute; Lecturer and Visiting Professor, University of California, Berkeley; Lecturer/Faculty, Community Center for Training in Community Psychiatry, Smith College; San Francisco State University.
